First, it helps keep the attention of the viewer because it’s a change of pace … an interruption to the video flow.
Second, it’s a chance for you to reinforce what the video is about and add your branding if you so choose.
But, if you cannot do this or don’t know how to do this, DON’T SWEAT IT. A published video is better than an unpublished videos. However, most simple video programs such as iMovie will allow you do add this type of intro bumper.
