sidenote: I’ve found when you start digging into what a client really needs not only do you get what you need from them, but they often start to tell a story and merely going through what’s going on and what they need sparks that connection and openness that humans feel through story. Good for that impact
100% agree. Though I just had a client back out of a deal. Turns out they were lying, and not 100% honest. But I do love this same side selling approach. =)
@iGoByDoc yeah that can be a tricky one. From a psychological standpoint, the best way to jump up the rapport early on and get that “sketchy” information with ease is to literally make like it’s no big deal. Very nonchalant like you’re supposed to be asking this anyway. It’s all in the tonality.
@MakeRemarkable yeah for sure, enjoying it so far. Kills me that so many people get on Blab but don’t actually have anything to say – something I’m appreciating about this session.
Yeah live content is epic there – builds a lot of credibility in your expertise, plus you bring value up front instead of making the ask with no track record of helping them out.
@thejfoster42 well that was the one fundamental flaw with the core concept of the platform. the same as you would have a public conversation with a group of people at Starbucks, now you can do that globally in real time. Sadly, some people just don’t have good things to say or are too concerned with what others think.
Hello chaps, sorry I missed you last week!
I can hear Chris
@brand_gladiator TY Buddy!
oh yeah
LOL
I watched all the films with my son prior to the launch of Force Awakens
Kept him away from the prequels for as long as possible
hey guys!
@confluentforms Top o the morning to you David!
I think they respect you more for being honest rather than just taking their money
@brand_gladiator 1000% agree
even more so when you refer them to a competitor or specialist
@confluentforms absolutely true @thesalesLion talks a lot about this
I’ve gotten referrals from the client I referred elsewhere, which always seemed strange, but it happens pretty often
@confluentforms that’s so cool. I’ve had the same experience. It’s strange even though it does make sense.
Its become a 2 way conversation
@brand_gladiator yes!

Hi Erica!
Hi!
Issue >> Impact >> Importance
@iGoByDoc Yes that’s a great point. You need trust for them to be honest.
Do you ever find that prospects are not willing to share this information? A lot need to trust before they would tell them deep information.
@iGoByDoc Interesting. Sounds like it was good they backed out.

@3rhinomedia Yeah. Good for them. Good, but financially really bad for me. =)

You’re always dealing with humans, that’s where the focus needs to be.
